Abstract
Socijalni mediji su sve popularniji u svim aspektima života, privatnog i poslovnog. U tom trendu dolazi do problema u inženjerskoj struci jer inženjeri smatraju da su socijalni mediji nepouzdani i gubitak vremena. Da bi se socijalni mediji mogli iskoristiti u korist inženjerske struke potrebno je promijeniti stav prema istima. Inženjerski tehnički (left brain) način razmišljanja ne analizira sliku u cijelosti već dijelove te slike, dok kreativni (right brain) način razmišljanja omogućava pogled cijele slike. Rješenje tog problema u inženjerskoj struci je da se promjeni način razmišljanja na kreativni način razmišljanja umjesto tehničkog načina razmišljanja. Socijalni mediji nude raznolike mogućnosti i poboljšanja inženjerskoj struci te razmjenu informacija. Novijim generacijama inženjera povećava se i uporaba socijalnih medija u inženjerskoj praksi. Porast uporabe socijalnih medija u inženjerske svrhe u posljednjih tri godina je značajan.
Abstract (english)
Social media is increasingly popular in all aspects of life, private and business. There is a problem in the engineering profession as engineers find social media unreliable and a waste of time. In order to use social media for the benefit of the engineering profession, it is necessary to change the attitude towards them. The engineering brain (left brain) way of thinking does not analyze the whole picture but parts of it, while the creative (right brain) mindset lets you look at the whole picture. The solution to this problem in the engineering profession is to change the mindset to the creative way of thinking instead of the technical way of thinking. Social media offers a variety of opportunities and enhancements to the engineering profession and information sharing. Newer generations of engineers are also increasing the use of social media in engineering practice. The increase in the use of social media for engineering purposes in the last three years is significant.
