Abstract	U ovom radu govori se o metamaterijalnim strukturama s negativnim indeksom loma, odnosno dvostruko negativnim metamaterijalima. Govori se o njihovom postanku, klasifikaciji, razvoju i primjeni. Građu metamaterijala čine jedinične ćelije u rasporedu pomoću kojeg postižemo negativnu permitivnost i negativnu permeabilnost. Negativne vrijednosti permitivnosti dobivene su pomoću strukture rešetke, a negativna permeabilnost je ostvarena uz pomoć struktura koje se nazivaju rezonatori u obliku podijeljenog prstena. Izvedena je i simulacija propagacije EM vala kroz metamaterijal koji čine tri jedinične ćelijske strukture oblika podijeljenog prstena. Također su obrađene i tri dodatne vrste ćelijskih struktura. Sva svojstva metamaterijala su potvrđena s fizikalnim izvodima formula preko poznatih zakona fizike.
Abstract (english)	This paper discusses the metamaterial structures with a negative index of refraction, or double negative metamaterials. It talks about their origin, classification, development and application. The material consists of metamaterial unit cell in the schedule by which we achieve a negative permittivity and negative permeability. The negative permittivity values were obtained using a lattice structure, a negative permeability is achieved by means of structures which are referred to as resonators in the form of a split ring. Performed the simulation and EM wave propagation through the metamaterial, which consists of three unit cell structure in form of a split ring. They also analyzed three additional types of cell structures. All properties of metamaterials are confirmed by physical derivations of formulas the known laws of physics.
