Abstract
U ovom diplomskom radu obrađena je legislativa, odnosno propisi i direktive kojima Europska Unija uređuje gospodarenje elektrootpadom unutar svojih granica. Također, rad obuhvaća statističke podatke i izvješća država članica o količinama električne i elektroničke opreme koja se proizvodi unutar EU, stavlja na tržište, kako se s njom gospodari, te naposljetku kako se zbrinjava kada iz raznih razloga postaje otpad. Dio rada fokusiran je na Republiku Hrvatsku kao članicu Europske unije, te uspoređuje zakonodavstvo i propise RH o gospodarenju i zbrinjavanju EE otpada s istim zakonskim okvirima Europske Unije. U posljednjem poglavlju ovog rada dati su statistički podaci o EE otpadu na razini RH također s osvrtom na ciljeve i strategije gospodarenja elektrootpada propisane od strane Europske Zajednice.
Abstract (english)
This thesis elaborates legislation or regulations and directives with which the European Union regulates the management of electrical waste within its borders. Also, this thesis includes statistical data and reports of Member States on the quantities of electrical and electronic equipment produced within the EU, placed on the market, how it is managed, and finally how it is disposed when for various reasons it becomes waste. Part of the thesis is focused on the Republic of Croatia as a member of the EU, and compares legislation and regulations of the Republic of Croatia on the management and disposal of electronic waste with the same legal framework of the European Union. In the last chapter of this thesis are given information and statistics on WEEE at the national level, also with reference to the objectives and strategy of electrical waste managment specified by the European Community.
