Abstract
Transformatori su najkorišteniji električni uređaji na svijetu, mogu se pronaći od malih transformatora u punjačima mobitela sve do velikih transformatora za prijenos električne energije na veće udaljenosti. Nesavršenost ovog uređaja se očituje u njegovim gubitcima koji imaju određeni trošak i loš utjecaj na okoliš. Gubitci transformatora na globalnoj razini indirektno utječu na velike emisije stakleničkih plinova. Od njihovog nastanka donesene su mnoge regulative, direktive i uredbe koje diktiraju minimalne standarde kojih se proizvođači moraju strogo držati što je uzrokovalo povećanje njihove učinkovitosti. Na kraju se može zaključiti, iako je osnovni princip rada transformatora u komercijalnoj svrsi ostao isti, tehnologija njihove izrade je napredovala što je rezultiralo u povećanoj učinkovitosti današnjih transformatora i postepenom pojavljivanju novih vrsta transformatora sa drugačijim principom rada u obliku pametnih transformatora.
Abstract (english)
Transformers are the most used electric devices in the world, they can be found from small transformers in phone chargers all trough big transformers for transporting energy in between large distances. Imperfection of this device is shown in its losses which have certain cost and bad impact on environment. Transformers losses on global level have indirect impact on emission of greenhouse gases. Since the invention of transformer there have been made many reglations, directives and statues which dictate lowest possible strandards which manufactures and users have to oblige and that led to increase in transformers efficiency. To sum up it can be concluded that basic work principle of transformer in commercial use hasn't changed but technology used in its manufacutring led to increase in its efficiency and in gradual appearance of new types of transformers with diffrent work principle like smart transformers
