Abstract
Linijsko kodiranje se koristi za prijenos podatka digitalnog signala putem dalekovoda. Ovaj postupak kodiranja je odabran kako bi se izbjeglo preklapanje i izobličenje signala. Linijskim kodiranjem možemo omogućiti bolju detekciju i korekciju pogrešno primljenih bita, smanjiti razinu istosmjerne komponente signala te poboljšati sinkronizaciju bita između predajnika i prijamnika. Linijske kodove možemo podijeliti u tri osnovne grupe: unipolarne linijske kodove, polarne linijske kodove te bipolarne linijske kodove. Razlike između kodova se očituje u razini signala kojom su definirana logička stanja „0“ i „1“. Završnim radom opisani su linijski kodovi, bipolarni linijski kodovi sa njihovim karakteristikama, prednostima i nedostacima , te bipolarno kodiranje visoke gustoće i gdje se koriste.
Abstract (english)
Line coding is used for data transmission of a digital signal over a transmission line. This way of coding is chosen to avoid signal overlap and distortion. Line coding helps us with better detection and correction of incorrectly received bits, with reducing the level of the DC component of the signal and with improving bit synchronization among transmitter and receiver. Line codes can be divided into 3 basic groups: unipolar line codes, polar line codes and bipolar line codes. Differences between codes are evident in the signal level by which logical states “0” and “1” are defined. This final thesis describes line codes, bipolar line codes (their characteristics, advantages and disadvantages), high density bipolar coding and where all of them are used.
