Abstract
Nizozemski fizičar 1911. otkrio je novu pojavu nazvanu supravodljivost koja ima svojstvo nestajanja otpora pri vrlo niskim temperaturama koje su blizu apsolutne nule. U povijesnom pregledu prikazano je kako su znanstvenici mnogim istraživanjima došli do vodiča koji u stanje supravodljivosti prelaze pri višim kritičnim temperaturama te su opisani vodiči prve i druge vrste i njihova svojstva. Na nekoliko primjera opisano je tehnološka primjena supravodljivih materijala u uređajima i opremi koji se koriste u znanosti, medicini i energetici te je prikazan smjer u kojemu ide razvoj ovih materijala.
Abstract (english)
In 1911, a Dutch physicist discovered a new phenomenon called superconductivity which has the property of disappearing a resistance at very low temperatures. The historical review shows how scientists came to conductors that has a higher critical temperature, and conductors of the first and second type and their properties are described. Technological application of superconducting materials in devices and equipment that is used in science, medicine and power engineering are described on a few examples. Also, direction of the development of superconducting materials is shown.
