Abstract
Cilj rada je bio pokazati da li Windows 7 i danas može zadovoljiti korisnikove potrebe po pitanju performansi u usporedbi s Windows 10 operacijskim sustavom. Praktični dio rada se bazirao na testiranju, analiziranju i ocjenjivanju performansi procesora, grafičkog podsustava, mreže te tvrdog diska. Testiranja su se obavljala na dva prijenosna računala, tako da je svaki operacijski sustav instaliran na dva prijenosna računala. Performanse računala su se ispitivala pomoću četiri alata za testiranje performansi, te su rezultati testiranja uspoređeni i analizirani. Iz dobivenih rezultata se može zaključiti koji Windows daje bolje performanse. U većini rezultata bolje performanse daje Windows 7, ali Windows 10 ne zaostaje znatno po pitanju performansi. Što se tiče testiranja performansi procesora te tvrdog diska bolje rezultate ima Windows 7, po pitanju performansi mreže bolji je Windows 10 dok po pitanju performansi grafičkog sustava su Windows 7 i Windows 10 gotovo identični.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this thesis was to show if Windows 7 still can meet customer performance needs, as opposed to Windows 10. The practical part of the work was based on testing, analyzing and evaluating the performance of processors, graphics subsystems, network and hard disk drives. Testing was done on two different notebooks, so each operating system had to be installed on them. Computer performance was tested using four benchmark tools, and the test results were compared and analyzed. From the results obtained, one can conclude which Windows gives a better performance. In most results, better performance is provided by Windows 7, but Windows 10 is not far behind. As far as testing and performance of the processor and hard disk are concerned, Windows 7 offers better results, the performance of the network is better with Windows 10, while graphics performance of the Windows 7 and Windows 10 is almost identical.
