Abstract
5G pokretne mreže došle su u realizaciju i prvi koraci su ostvareni te očekujemo konstantni razvoj. Zahtjevi poput većih brzina, bolje povezanosti i pokrivenosti zadovoljeni su u mnogim državama s dosad postavljenim sustavima, no još uvijek postoji mnogo prostora za popuniti kako bi peta generacija ispunila svoju potpunu svrhu. Slijede procesi osamostaljivanja 5G mreže od arhitekture prijašnjih generacija, uklapanje novih slučajeva upotrebe s 5GC jezgrom mreže nakon čega se otvara niz mogućnosti. Male ćelije, proširenje spektra, usmjeravanje snopova signala uređajima s mnogostrukim antenama, virtualizacija i poboljšanja programske osnove mreža tehnologije su koje su dale fleksibilnost, smanjenje potrošnje i bolju iskoristivost. Internet stvari, komunikacija u prometu, autonomna vožnja, pametna okruženja u osobnom i poslovnom životu neke su od stvari koje će tek biti prezentirane i dovedene u širu upotrebu. Uvijek postoje problemi i pitanja tijekom razvoja i evolucije tehnologije kao što su zaštita privatnosti, sigurnosne značajke , cijene i zaštita okoliša i zdravlja, ali život kakav vidimo u budućnosti dobiva nove dimenzije koje možemo iskoristiti za opće dobro.
Abstract (english)
5G mobile networks have come to fruition as the first steps have been achieved and we expect constant development. Requirements such as higher data rates, better connectivity and density have been met in many of the countries with systems in place so far, but there is still plenty of space for the fifth generation to fulfill its full purpose. The next aim is freeing the 5G network from the former architecture, integrating new use cases with the 5G Core network and opening up a number of possibilities. Small cells, spectrum expansion, beamforming with MIMO based equipment, virtualization and softwaredefined networking have all added flexibility, reduced power consumption, and improved usability. The Internet of Things, vehicle-to-vehicle communication, autonomous driving, smart environments in personal and business life are just some of the things that are yet to be presented and brought to wider use. There are always problems and questions during the development and evolution of technology such as privacy and security issues, pricing, and environment and health protection, but life as we see it in the future takes on new dimensions that we can use for general benefit.
