Abstract
Rad se bavi temom ITU-T preporuke G.718, koja je također i kodek. Koristi se u telekomunikacijskim sustavima za prijenos zvučnog signala IP mrežnu infrastrukturu. Prikazuje se povijesni razvoj koji je doveo do razvoja preporuke G.718. Zatim se prelazi na opis principa rada same preporuke gdje je dan detaljniji pregled funkcionalnosti te je napravljena podjela preporuke po bitnim cjelinama koje su dodatno obrađene. Kasnije je opisana primjena same preporuke i konačno je dana usporedba performansi G.718 preporuke zajedno s ostalim preporukama pri određenim uvjetima komunikacijskog kanala gdje je testiran zvučni signal, odnosno govorni i glazbeni signal.
Abstract (english)
This thesis deals with ITU-T recommendation of G.718, which is also a codec. It is being used in telecommunications industry for transport of audio signal through IP network infrastructure. Firstly, a historical development has been shown which lead to development of G.718. Secondly the main principles of the recommendation have been given together with detailed overview of functionality divided into relevant units which have been documented accordingly. Thirdly the application of the recommendation has been given. Finally the performance overview has been given for the recommendation which are analysed together with other recommendations in various communication channel conditions for audio signals, primarily for speech and music signal.
