Abstract
Tradicionalni sustavi suočavaju se s izazovima zbog promjenjive prirode obnovljivih izvora poput solarne i vjetroenergije. VPP-ovi pružaju rješenje integracijom distribuiranih izvora energije te omogućuju fleksibilniji i pouzdaniji rad mreže. Kroz analizu postojećih projekata poput Next Kraftwerke, tiko, GreenPowerHub, Power Ledger, rad istražuje optimizacijske tehnike i doprinos virtualnih elektrana u energetskoj tranziciji. Poseban naglasak stavljen je na ekonomske i regulatorne aspekte te buduće perspektive razvoja VPP-ova. Analizom tehničkih, ekonomskih i regulatornih aspekata razvoja VPP-ova, uz poseban naglasak na optimizacijske algoritme poput stohastičke i višekriterijske optimizacije, koji omogućuju učinkovitije korištenje resursa i podržavaju buduće energetske politike. Zaključuje se da VPP-ovi imaju ključnu ulogu u budućim održivim, decentraliziranim i digitaliziranim energetskim sustavima.
Abstract (english)
Traditional systems face challenges due to the variable nature of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power. Virtual Power Plants (VPPs) provide a solution by integrating distributed energy resources, enabling more flexible and reliable grid operation. Through an analysis of existing projects such as Next Kraftwerke, tiko, GreenPowerHub, and Power Ledger, this paper explores optimization techniques and the contribution of VPPs to the energy transition. Special emphasis is placed on the economic and regulatory aspects, as well as the future prospects for VPP development. By analyzing the technical, economic, and regulatory aspects of VPP development, with a focus on optimization algorithms such as stochastic and multi-criteria optimization, this paper highlights how these techniques enable more efficient resource utilization and support future energy policies. The conclusion is that VPPs play a critical role in future sustainable, decentralized, and digitalized energy systems.
