Abstract
Osnovna svrha ovog završnog rada bila je istražiti različite vrste senzora za detekciju propan-butan plina. Utvrđeno je kako postoje senzori koji su unaprijed programirani u obliku detektora, a nasuprot tome, postoje senzori koje je potrebno povezati s određenim računalnim sustavom te razviti programsku podršku koja će omogućiti prikupljanje podataka sa senzora te ispis i obradu očitanja. Kako je propan-butan plin bez boje i mirisa, a može biti potencijalno opasan za čovjeka, ideja je bila izraditi sklop kojim bi se mogao očitati postotak upravo toga plina u zraku. Izrađeni sklop sastoji se od poluvodičkog modela senzora te je baziran na mikrokontrolerskom sustavu „Arduino Nano“. Izmjereni podaci se na računalo šalju UART komunikacijom enkapsulirani unutar USB protokola. Sklop, koji je po cijeni relativno jeftin, neovisno o tome, daje zadovoljavajuće rezultate mjerenja, ali isto tako i pokazuje svoju nesavršenost na većim udaljenostima izvora plina od senzora.
Abstract (english)
This thesis investigates different types of sensors for detection propane-butane gas. It was found that there are sensors which are pre-programed in the form of detectors, but on the other hand, there are sensors that need to be linked to a specific embedded system, and also it is necessary to develop software that would allow the collection of data from sensors. As propanebutane gas is odorless and colorless, and also can be potentially dangerous for human, the idea was to create a device which can measure the percentage of this gas in the air. This measuring device consists of semiconductor gas sensor and it is based on a microcontroller system „Arduino Nano“. The measured data is sent to a computer by UART communication encapsulated within the USB protocol. Circuit, which is relatively inexpensive, regardless of that gives a satisfactory measurement results but also shows its imperfections at greater distances from the gas source.
