Abstract
Ovaj završni rad bavi se temom pametnih gradova s posebnim naglaskom na prikupljanje senzorskih podataka. Pametni gradovi koriste informacijske i komunikacijske tehnologije (ICT) za poboljšanje operativne učinkovitosti, razmjenu informacija i pružanje kvalitetnijih gradskih usluga. Rad istražuje povijest pametnih gradova, njihove ključne karakteristike te način na koji senzori i drugi uređaji prikupljaju podatke koji se koriste za poboljšanje kvalitete života građana. Korištenje senzorskih tehnologija omogućuje optimizaciju resursa kao što su promet, rasvjeta, upravljanje otpadom i infrastruktura. Poseban naglasak stavljen je na tehnologije poput LoRaWAN mreže, koja omogućuje učinkovitu komunikaciju između senzora i baza podataka. U radu su također analizirani tehnički, procesni i strateški standardi koji su ključni za implementaciju pametnih gradova. Cilj pametnih gradova je poboljšati životne uvjete stanovnika, smanjiti troškove te zaštititi okoliš kroz inovativna tehnološka rješenja.
Abstract (english)
This final thesis explores the concept of smart cities, with a particular focus on sensor data collection. Smart cities utilize Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to improve operational efficiency, facilitate information exchange, and enhance the quality of public services. The paper examines the history of smart cities, their key characteristics, and how sensors and other devices collect data to improve the quality of life for citizens. The use of sensor technologies allows for resource optimization in areas such as traffic management, lighting, waste disposal, and infrastructure. Special emphasis is placed on technologies like the LoRaWAN network, which enables efficient communication between sensors and databases. The thesis also analyzes technical, procedural, and strategic standards that are essential for the implementation of smart cities. The ultimate goal of smart cities is to enhance living conditions, reduce costs, and protect the environment through innovative technological solutions.
