Abstract
Cilj ovog završnog rada je optimizirati telekomunikacijski sustav i definirati prioritete prema vrsti komunikacije na način da korisnik bira koja vrsta prometa u mreži mu je bitna i za što mu je potrebna stabilna veza i malo kašnjenje. Usporedbom više metoda upravljanja redovima zaključeno je da CAKE metoda najbolje odgovara zahtjevima rada i s obzirom na lakoću korištenja optimalno je rješenje. OpenWrt ugradbeni softver je korišten na usmjerivaču Xiaomi Mi 3 NANO, a kao server za testiranje dolazne i odlazne brzine te kašnjenja korišten je Raspberry Pi uređaj s instaliranim FLENT programom. Testiranje je obavljeno na način da su pokrenuti programi preko računala žično povezanog na usmjerivač kao središnji uređaj komunikacijskog sustava i na taj način se opteretila mreža. Postupak je obavljen dva puta, prvi put s omogućenim QoS-om, dok je drugi put ta usluga bila onemogućena. Rezultati testiranja pokazali su da primjena CAKE metode i QoS-a jamče kvalitetniju i stabilniju mrežu u situacijama povećane opterećenosti mreže. Razlika u rezultatima prikazana je grafovima i opisana.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this bachelor thesis was to optimize telecommunication system and to define priorities according to which client chooses the type of network traffic for which stable connection and low latency is needed. Comparing a few queueing disciplines it is concluded that CAKE method fits best to the thesis requirements and considering its easiness of using it is optimal solution. OpenWrt firmware is used on Xiaomi Mi 3 NANO router while the Raspberry Pi device which has installed FLENT program is used as server for testing download and upload speed and latency. The testing was done in a manner that programs were started on a computer connected to the router which was the ceprintral device of the communication system, and after that the network was loaded. Procedure was done twice, at first, with enabled QoS, and then with disabled QoS. The test results showed that appliance of CAKE qdisc and QoS guarantee higher quality and more stable network in situations of increased network load. Resulting differences are shown on graphs and explained.
