Abstract
Uvođenje naprednih tehnologija u medicinu značajno je unaprijedilo dijagnostiku i liječenje brojnih bolesti, uključujući melanom, najopasniji oblik raka kože. Razvoj metoda strojnog učenja omogućuje precizniju analizu medicinskih slika, što doprinosi ranijem otkrivanju i uspješnijem liječenju melanoma. U ovom diplomskom radu istražuje se primjena strojnog učenja u detekciji melanoma korištenjem mobilnih uređaja. Prednosti mobilnih uređaja je u njihovoj dostupnosti i praktičnosti, čime se omogućava šira upotreba dijagnostičkih alata u svakodnevnom životu. Korištenjem suvremenih algoritama strojnog učenja, mobilne aplikacije mogu postati pouzdani asistenti dermatologa u prepoznavanju sumnjivih lezija kože. Cilj ovog rada je prikazati mogućnosti i ograničenja ovakvih sustava te ponuditi rješenja za njihovo poboljšanje i širu primjenu u medicinskoj praksi.
Abstract (english)
The introduction of advanced technologies in medicine has significantly improved the diagnosis and treatment of numerous diseases, including melanoma, the most dangerous form of skin cancer. The development of machine learning methods enables more precise analysis of medical images, which contributes to earlier detection and more successful treatment of mela- noma. This thesis examines the application of machine learning in melanoma detection using mobile devices. The advantages of mobile devices lie in their availability and practicality, which enables the wider use of diagnostic tools in everyday life. By using modern machine learning algorithms, mobile applications can become reliable assistants to dermatologists in identifying suspicious skin lesions. The aim of this paper is to show the possibilities and li- mitations of such systems and to offer solutions for their improvement and wider application in medical practice.
