Abstract
Demencija je bolest koja utječe na gubitak intelektualnih sposobnosti koje je osoba stekla tijekom života. Postoji mnogo raznih oblika demencije od kojih je najčešća Alzheimerova bolest. Procjenjuje se da će broj oboljelih biti u stalnom porastu što stvara brzorastući problem koji zahtjeva velika financijska ulaganja i kvalitetna rješenja. Mobilna rješenja relativno su novo područje kojemu su potrebna istraživanja kako bi pružilo kvalitetna i financijski isplativa rješenja s ciljem poboljšanja životnog standarda oboljelih i njihovih njegovatelja. U sklopu diplomskog rada, predstavljena je mobilna aplikacija za Android platformu, oslanjajući se na spoznaje o demenciji opisane u teorijskom dijelu rada, cilj joj je poboljšati svakodnevni život oboljeloj osobi i njezinom njegovatelju. Mobilna aplikacija pruža modul za oboljele koji sadrži igre za vježbanje kognitivnih sposobnosti, liste zadataka, galeriju slika i druge, dok modul za njegovatelje sadrži podsjetnik, liste zadataka, mogućnost izrade izvješća i opciju pozivanja hitnih službi. Prema rezultatima testiranja, mobilna aplikacija je dobro izvedena uz potrebnu doradu značajki i izradu dodatnih značajki.
Abstract (english)
Dementia is a disease that affects the loss of intellectual abilities that a person has acquired over a lifetime. There are many different types of dementia of which Alzheimer's disease is the most common. It is estimated that the number of dementia patients will constantly grow, which poses a fast-growing problem that requires large financial investments and quality solutions. Mobile solutions are a new area that requires additional research that would provide a better standard of life for dementia patients and their caregivers. In addition to the master thesis, a mobile application was presented for the Android platform, relying on the knowledge of dementia described in the theoretical part of the master thesis, the application aims to improve everyday life for dementia patients and their caregivers. The mobile application provides a module for the patient that contains games for practicing cognitive abilities, a to-do list, a picture gallery, and more. Furthermore, the module for caregivers contains a reminder, to-do list, the ability to create a report, and the option to call emergency services. According to the test results, the mobile application is well executed with the necessary refinement of features and the development of additional features.
