Abstract
U teorijskom dijelu završnog rada opisani su nastanak i osnovne karakteristike morskih i plimnih struja, njihova uloga u obnovljivim izvorima električne energije, te osnovne razlike naspram ostalih obnovljivih resursa koji se češće koriste za proizvodnju električne energije. Opisani su osnovni načini pretvorbe kinetičke energije morskih struja, gdje je naglasak stavljen na razvijenost pojedinih vrsta turbina, koje na izlazu daju mehaničku energiju. U proračunu su, s obzirom na dostupnost podataka, odabrane dvije vrste turbina, te je izračunata količina električne energije koje turbine mogu proizvesti na proizvoljno odabranoj lokaciji u proizvoljno odabranom vremenskom periodu. U obzir su također uzeti gubici energije ostalih dijelova elektrane na morske struje.
Abstract (english)
Theoretical part of this undergraduate thesis describes the origin and basic characteristics of marine and tidal currents, as well as their role in renewable sources of energy and fundamental differences compared to other renewable resources that are more commonly used for electricity production. The basic methods of converting the kinetic energy of marine currents are described, with emphasis placed on the development of various types of turbines that generate mechanical energy at the output. In the calculation part of this undergraduate thesis, considering the availability of data, two types of turbines were selected, and the amount of electrical energy that the turbines can produce at an arbitrarily chosen location during an arbitrarily chosen time period was calculated. Energy losses from other parts of the marine currents power plant were also taken into account.
