Abstract
PEDELEC posljednjih godina bilježi velik rast popularnosti diljem svijeta i u sklopu prometnih i energetskih politika se promovira kao jedno od rješenja za smanjenje prometnih gužvi i onečišćenja. Zbog čega se nameće pitanje opravdanosti njegove uporabe u urbanim sredinama. Opisan je povijesni razvoj PEDELEC-a i njegove tehničke karakteristike, obuhvaćene su različite prometne strategije s naglaskom na smanjenje ovisnosti o individualnom prijevozu i poticanje korištenja bicikala, kao i čimbenici koji utječu na odabir prijevoznog sredstva. Korištenjem GIS podrške otvorenog koda mapirana su dva biciklističkih pravaca, te određene optimalnih brzina prometovanje.
Abstract (english)
PEDELEC has been experiencing significant growth in popularity worldwide in recent years and is being promoted as one of the solutions to reduce traffic congestion and pollution within transportation and energy policies. This raises the question of the justification for its use in urban environments. The historical development of PEDELEC and its technical characteristics are described, and various transportation strategies are covered, with an emphasis on reducing dependence on individual transportation and promoting bicycle usage. Factors influencing the choice of transportation mode are also discussed. Using open-source GIS support, two bicycle routes have been mapped, and optimal travel speeds have been determined.
