This paper deals with the detailed process of designing a photovoltaic power plant, along with an analysis of the key parameters that influence its efficiency and profitability. The introductory section presents the fundamental concepts related to photovoltaic systems, including the operating principles of solar modules, differences between various types of systems, and the importance of selecting highquality components. The theoretical part covers all aspects crucial for the design, from the selection of location and module orientation to technical specifications and economic analysis of the project. Special attention is given to the calculation of the photovoltaic power plant using the PV SOL software tool, which allows for a detailed simulation of the plant’s operation under different conditions. Using this tool, a 3D model of the plant was created, enabling precise determination of the optimal system parameters. The calculations include estimates of electricity production, cost analysis of installation and maintenance, and the calculation of return on investment. Additionally, the paper analyzes the impact of external factors, such as climatic conditions and local geographical configuration, on the overall efficiency of the system. The results of the analysis show that, with proper planning and optimization, photovoltaic power plants can be highly profitable, with a reasonable payback period even considering the initially high investments. The paper also emphasizes the importance of regular maintenance and monitoring to ensure the long-term stability and efficiency of the plant. It is concluded that photovoltaic power plants offer significant potential for contributing to energy independence and sustainability, and their integration into the energy system can substantially reduce greenhouse gas emissions and reliance on fossil fuels. Therefore, this paper provides a comprehensive overview of all the important steps and factors to consider when designing and implementing photovoltaic systems.
